Help! Any suggestions to deter kangaroos from completely decimating my roses? I have 3 gorgeous old roses in pots, and they were all blooming beautifully. Now I have no blooms, and the kangas are destroying the new growth. I cant believe they eat the thorns! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated....and tried! Thanks.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. The noisy scarecrow sounds great!!
Aside from fencing the roses up,... there is either the stick or carrot approach when it comes to changing mal-productive habits of animals.
The humane "stick" approach would be to make the garden area as inhospitable as possible. This includes, removing all water sources which they can drink from, cutting back shade producing trees, trimming grass short so they can't graze on them, installing motion lights where the roses grow and putting a noisy scarecrow there next to the roses in bloom. By noisy, this would mean the scarecrow would have to have some sort of clanging wind chime hanging off them. Interestingly CSIRO went so far as to trial "smart" scarecrows vis-a-vis: www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11-25/humble-scarecrow-days-numbered-as-smart-model-nears-market/11734892
The "carrot" approach would be to plant woolly bushes on the nature strip across the road from your property, or on the other end of the garden where your roses are located. Kangaroos love eating this.
